Activity History - do you lose it?

I'm a newbie trying to understand Leads/Accounts. If I have a Lead that has notes in "Activity History", will I lose all of my notes when I convert the Lead to an Account? How do you keep your history? Thanks...Bruce

Open activities and activity history are associated with the Account, Contact, and Opportunity (if created) when converting.
